What is NZB?

A NZB file is XML based Text file with meta data and links to the Usenet Postings. They are generated by the most popular Usenet Index Newzbinc.om. The Usenet Download Clients use the NZB file to find the fiel in the Usent Server.

Some people compare the NZB with the Torrent file for Bit Torrent. Well, it seems reasonable, but not nessarily right. Because NZB do not any data, but just informatio to get the data.
